Van signage copy generator

The handful of words that have to work from a car length away, at speed.

The single most important thing on the vehicle.

Only what you actually hold — these get checked.

Free, and the result appears right here. No sign-up to read it.

Three seconds, from another lane

Van signage is read by somebody driving past at thirty miles an hour, or glancing at a parked van while walking their dog. You get about three seconds and roughly five words that will actually be retained.

That constraint decides everything. It is why a wrap crowded with services, certifications and a QR code performs worse than a name, a trade and a phone number in a font you can read from a distance.

What earns its place

Almost nothing else survives the three-second test. A website address is usually wasted: nobody types a URL from a moving vehicle, and anyone who remembers your name will search it instead.

  • The phone number, larger than anything except the name
  • What you do — two or three words, not a service list
  • The business name
  • The area you cover, if it helps people know you are local

What to leave off

Long service lists, small print, social media handles and anything requiring a stationary vehicle to read. If it needs a second look, it is not doing anything.

This generator will also not add 'licensed', 'insured' or certification claims unless you enter them yourself. Credentials on a vehicle are public claims about your business, and they are the ones customers and competitors actually check.
