Service plan vs one-off treatment calculator

One-off treatments against an annual plan over three years. Sells the plan for them.

Your own estimate, based on what you have actually needed. How often anything needs treating is a technician's judgment, not ours.

Enter both prices to compare them over 3 years.

The number that decides it

The bottom line of the results is the one that matters: how many call-outs a year it takes before the plan is cheaper. If that number is two and you have needed three treatments a year for the last three years, the plan is straightforwardly the cheaper option. If it is four and you have called someone once in five years, it is not.

Everything else is arithmetic around that threshold.

Be honest about the frequency

The figure to enter is what you have actually needed, not what you hope you will need. People routinely underestimate this by looking at a good year and forgetting the bad one that prompted them to start looking at plans.

How often a property genuinely needs treating depends on the building, the area and the season, and that is a judgment for the technician who inspects it — not something this calculator will guess at.

What a plan buys beyond the price

Plans usually bundle things that do not show up in a per-treatment comparison: scheduled visits you do not have to remember, priority when something goes wrong, and often free re-treatment between visits. Whether those are worth a difference of a few hundred dollars over three years is a judgment, not a calculation.

Read the cancellation and renewal terms before signing. Recurring agreements are where the unpleasant surprises live, and they vary enormously between companies.
