Mission statement generator

What the business is for, in words a customer would actually say.

The real reason, not the one that sounds good.

Free, and the result appears right here. No sign-up to read it.

Who this is really for

Customers almost never read mission statements. The useful audience is you and anyone who works for you — it is the thing that settles arguments about whether to take a job, whether to eat a mistake, and what to do when a customer is being unreasonable.

That means the test is not whether it sounds impressive. It is whether it would actually change a decision. A statement that would never make you turn work down is decoration.

Plain words only

The failure mode is corporate language: leveraging synergies, delivering excellence, exceeding expectations. Nobody in a trade talks like that, and a customer who reads it assumes you bought it from somewhere.

Write it as you would say it to a new apprentice on their first morning. That is the register that works, and it is the one this generator aims for.

Where it goes

The about page, the wall of the unit, and the first conversation with anyone you hire. It does not go on the van, it does not go in an advert, and it is not a slogan.

If you want the short customer-facing version, that is the slogan generator. This is the long internal one that has to be true.
