About page generator
Who you are and why they should let you in the house.
The page that decides whether you get let in
For most trades, the about page is doing something quite specific: reassuring somebody who is about to give a stranger their address and let them into the house. That is a bigger ask than most business owners register.
What answers it is not achievements. It is knowing who will actually turn up, that they are a real person in the same area, and that somebody is accountable if it goes wrong.
Not a CV
The common failure is a chronology of qualifications and milestones. Customers do not care what year you incorporated. They care that you have done this a lot, that you show up, and that you clean up.
Say who you are, how you got here, and how you work. Three short paragraphs beats a page of history nobody finishes.
Everything here has to be true
This generator will not invent years of experience, qualifications, licenses, insurance, awards or staff numbers, and it refuses if asked. Only what you enter appears.
That is partly integrity and partly self-preservation. Claiming a license or insurance you do not hold is a serious matter in most trades — and unlike a slogan, an about page is exactly where an unhappy customer or a competitor will go looking.
